What you need to know before attending the Ross County Fair
CHILLICOTHE — With the fair coming up it will seem like all of Ross County made their way to the fairgrounds. To make your trip easy here is what you need to know about the upcoming fair.
When is it?
The 80th annual Ross County Fair will take place from Aug. 3 to Aug. 10.
Where is the parking?
Field parking is available next to the fairgrounds and across the street.
How much does it cost to get in?
Daily general admission for the fair is $5 per person with senior admission costing $4 per person. For those planning on visiting the fair multiple days a general wristband costs $25 per person and a senior wristband costs $15 per person. On Thursday active military and veterans with proper I.D. get in free.
Tickets can be purchased in person or online.
What is there to do?
There are tons of things to do at the fair for people of all ages from just animal shows and rides to a rodeo and people watching. A more detailed look at events is available on the official schedule but here is a look at something cool that is happening every day of the fair:
Saturday- Kick-Off Campgrounds Concert Campgrounds at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday- Ross County Jr. Fair King & Queen Contest at 8 p.m.
Monday- Big Time Wrestling at 7 p.m.
Tuesday- Outhouse Races 7 p.m.
Wednesday- Jr. Fair Market Lamb Show 3 p.m.
Thursday- Small Animal Showman of Showman Contest 9:30 a.m.
Friday- Large Animal Showman of Showmen Contest 12:30 p.m.
Saturday: Fireworks at 10 p.m.
