What to Know About Dunkin's Holiday Hours for 2020
Ah yes: New Year's Eve parties have ended and the holiday high is slowly starting to settle down. It's the first day of the year, so it's important that you spend it the way you want to — whether that means staying in and watching classic movies or planning out your goals for 2020.
Regardless of what you do, you're going to need to start the day with a good cup of coffee. Dunkin', formerly known as Dunkin' Donuts, is a popular place to visit on New Year's Day (probably because of their amazing caramel iced coffees and delicious doughnuts). But before you plan your trip, here's what you need to know about the coffee chain's holiday hours for January 1, 2020.
Will Dunkin' be open on New Year's Day 2020?
Yes, a Dunkin' representative confirmed to Good Housekeeping that the beloved coffee chain will be open on January 1, but as always, remember that hours of operation can vary by location. "While many Dunkin’ locations will be open New Year’s Day, we encourage our guests to check the Dunkin' Mobile App to confirm if their local store is open before visiting," the rep says.
What are Dunkin's store hours on New Year's Day?
Dunkin' should be running on regular hours on January 1. If a store usually opens at 8 a.m. and closes and 10 p.m., it should operate the same on the holiday. If the store usually operates for 24 hours, it'll continue to stay open all day on New Year's.
What other restaurants and stores will be open on New Year's Day?
We get it, preparing several large holiday meals in a matter of one week can be exhausting. So if you're looking to treat yourself to a fully-cooked meal or want to celebrate the new year with loved ones, you're in luck. Many restaurants will be open on January 1, including Applebee's and Cracker Barrel. And if you're looking to scope out the best after Christmas sales, shopping malls and stores will be open. That includes Target, Walmart, and Bed Bath & Beyond.
