You know how sometimes you eat your favorite tried-and-tested recipe, and each time it tastes good, then you go wild and add a new ingredient and suddenly it tastes great? Yeah, so, Cardi B is joining the Fast & Furious franchise.

Vin Diesel, who has played Dominic Toretto since 2001, just shared a video on Instagram revealing that Cardi B had been filming with the Fast & Furious family in the UK. In the video, the rapper-turned-movie star said she's confident that the ninth chapter is going to be the best yet.

"Day 89 here on the set of Fast 9," Diesel said. "I know I'm exhausted. We all gave every single thing we could for this movie... put it all on the table." And one of the things that got brought to Fast & Furious 9 is a brand new member of the ever-expanding cast.

"I’m tired, but I can’t wait," said Cardi. "I ain’t gonna front, I think this is going to be the best one."

Fast & Furious 9 will mark Cardi's second role in a major feature film, following her appearance in Hustlers earlier this year alongside Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu and Lizzo. Just like Hustlers, the Fast & Furious franchise revolves around a dream team of noble law-breakers, so Cardi should feel right at home alongside screen greats like Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron, who joined the franchise in earlier sequels, along with original cast members Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Diesel.

Of course, Cardi isn't the only newcomer to the franchise: Fast & Furious 9 will also introduce John Cena in an as-yet undisclosed role.
