Here’s what we know about Taylor Swift’s Reputation World Tour so far
Now that Taylor Swift’s sixth album, Reputation, is out into the world, we can turn to more important matters. Namely, Swift’s upcoming Reputation World Tour. (Are we asking for too much from her too soon?) The singer will reportedly officially announce her Reputation World Tour (and begin selling tickets) on December 13th, according to Billboard. The 13th also happens to be her 28th birthday. Given Swift’s affinity for the number 13, this seems likely.
We don’t know many details, but we do know the Reputation World Tour is probably going to be massive. Fans can’t wait to hear her new songs like “Look What You Made Me Do” and “Call It What You Want” live. Billboard has estimated that ticket earnings could exceed $250 million, which was the gross of Swift’s 1989 World Tour. And Billboard also predicts a 27-market run, according to a map on the Taylor Swift Tix site, with a lot of those being stadiums. It calculates that if she played two shows in every market at huge stadiums, she could make $297 million. We’ll bet she’s ready for that.
Swift actually has already stirred up controversy about the tour because of her partnership with Ticketmaster Verified Fan. The Taylor Swift Tix program gives fans “boosts” for completing activities like watching the “…Ready For It?” music video and buying Reputation.
#reputation is out. Let the games begin.

The boosts accumulate to determine your place in line to buy tickets for the Reputation World Tour.
It’s meant to help distinguish real fans from bots and scalpers. But it has been criticized, because the real beneficiary is Swift’s bottom line when people shell out for merch. Hey, maybe she did something bad, but it probably feels so good.
Until December 13th, we’ll have to settle for seeing her perform on Saturday Night Live on November 11th.
