Kourtney Kardashian Shares Uplifting Health Update After IVF Journey
The reality star is content with whatever happens.
Famous lovebirds Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have not been shy about their rollercoaster of an IVF journey, but it looks like they're finally coming out on the other side.
The couple detailed their doctor's appointments—including egg retrievals—throughout the first season of The Kardashians as they tried to conceive, but in the second season, they shared that they'd chosen to put a hold on their attempts to conceive via IVF due to the toll it was taking on Kardashian's body, including triggering premature menopause, as reported by Cosmopolitan UK.
It's now been about 10 months since halting IVF treatments, and in a new Instagram story, Kardashian, 43, says she's finally starting to feel like herself again. "Finally started getting my energy back 10 months after stopping IVF, for anyone else going through it, it gets better!" she captioned the snap, per Cosmo, which showed the Lemme founder in the middle of a treadmill workout.
Kardashian opened up more about the toll the process took during an October interview on the podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat, where she revealed that the aftermath of the procedures was so debilitating that she even underwent a brain scan to determine the full effects.
Per the publication, she explained that IVF affects your "adrenals, thyroids and hormones," and that her energy levels had been down since she began, even months after ending the treatments.
"I got to a place where I just felt exactly like how timing is everything with me and Travis. So, I feel like if it's truly meant to be it will happen," she said at the time.
We're glad to hear that she's feeling more like herself, and are wishing her the best no matter what happens next!
