Kraft Brings Back Fan-Favorite Mac & Cheese
Kraft has some exciting news! Are you ready, kids?
After years of fans demanding for its return—even going as far as creating multiple petitions on Charge.org—Kraft listened to pleas and is bringing back the beloved Mac & Cheese SpongeBob SquarePants Shapes.
The whimsical noodles, which appeal to nostalgic grown-ups just as much as kids, feature SpongeBob and other fan-favorite Bikini Bottom residents, including Squidward, Patrick, and Gary. The mac and cheese comes in both the classic blue box and the Easy Mac cups, which are sold in packs of four.
The pasta is expected to hit shelves again sometime in October, just in time for when the weather gets chilly and you want to have a night in with a comforting meal. It'll also coincide with the airing of the long-running show's 13th season, which airs its season finale on November 1.
Previously, fans had shared their immense love for the Nickelodeon cartoon-themed noodles on social media.
Someone tweeted in 2019 that the SpongeBob Mac & Cheese "tastes better than the original," which is high praise. The experience of eating it even inspired a raunchy tweet from a fan.
A Twitter user also opined in 2020 that American culture "really started going downhill when they took the spongebob shaped kraft mac n cheese out of the stores and replaced it with paw patrol."
This isn't the only exciting product Kraft has in store this fall. Recently, the brand announced that it created gummy candy in the shape of the classic noodles just in time for Halloween.
