Kraft Mac & Cheese, Oscar Mayer and Claussen Release Gummy Candy
Kraft Mac & Cheese, Oscar Mayer and Claussen Pickles entered the candy aisle with big plans ahead of Halloween 2023.
While the trio of Kraft Heinz labels are best known for savory snacks, the parent company previously teamed up with a candy maker to create gummy candy inspired by the looks of some of its bestsellers, and now, it's done it again.
Working with Frankford Candy, Kraft Heinz developed fruit-flavored gummies in two versions (our apologies to those who thought this was an announcement for Mac & Cheese, hot dog, or pickle-flavored gummy candy).
One is a variety pack that includes all three brands and features individually wrapped mini versions of fully-dressed Oscar Mayer hot dogs, tiny Claussen Pickles and macaroni-shaped gummy candy. The second is a standalone replica of the pasta dinner, including the blue box and the elbow-shaped noodles associated with the brand.
The Kraft Heinz Variety Packs are set to roll out this September at retailers nationwide (including Walgreens, Target, Meijer, Big Lots, Supervalu, and more, as well as online) for $7.99. A slightly smaller (30-count) bag will also be sold at Family Dollar and Dollar General in the Halloween Candy Section, according to a press release.
The Kraft Mac & Cheese gummy candy, however, will be available all year round at select retailers, including Walmart, Five Below, Amazon, and the Frankford website, for about $4.
Frankford isn't new to this (making candy in the shape of other foods) it's true to this, as the company is also the brains behind Dunkin's Jelly Donut-Flavored Filled Chocolates, the gummy Lunchables Pizza Kit, Oscar Mayer's viral bacon-shaped gummies and the turkey-shaped hot chocolate bomb, among many others.
