Krispy Kreme Hatches the Perfect Spring Menu

Krispy Kreme is using the changing of the seasons to change up its menu, welcoming several new doughnut flavors this spring.
The fan-favorite doughnut shop announced today that in honor of the 2024 Spring Equinox and the upcoming Easter holiday, its locations would be making four new doughnuts available for a limited time beginning on Tuesday, March 19.
Some of the sweet treats even sprinkle in what's arguably spring's most iconic candy: Cadbury mini eggs!
According to an official statement shared with Parade, Krispy Kreme's new doughnut flavors are as follows:
Mini Birds Nest Doughnut made with Cadbury Mini Eggs – a mini Original Glazed? Doughnut topped with chocolate buttercream, spring sprinkles and Cadbury Mini Eggs.
Strawberry Egg Doughnut – a mini Original Glazed? Doughnut dipped in strawberry icing with yellow and teal drizzles.
Hatching Chick Doughnut – a mini Original Glazed? Doughnut dipped in light yellow icing and white nonpareils, finished with chocolate and orange icing.
Robin’s Egg Doughnut – a mini Original Glazed? Doughnut dipped in teal icing and daisy sprinkles.
As many fans suggested, their joy over the eggcellent additions is related to more than just the flavor profiles but how dedicated Krispy Kreme was to creating unique treats that actually resemble birds' nests, chicks, robin eggs, and Easter eggs.
"Love the designs!" one Instagram user wrote. "They always take one step further and having collaborations."
"Since they’re mini it doesn’t count against my diet… great," another joked.
“We’re excited to help our fans ‘hatch happy’ with these all-new Spring Minis – from the first day of Spring through Easter Sunday,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme's global chief brand officer, in a statement. “These bright, beautiful doughnuts are sweet treats for celebrating the season with family and friends.”
Krispy Kreme isn't the only fast food joint to take inspiration from the globe's alignment and the changes it brings. Earlier this week, Sonic revealed it would also be offering a limited-edition treat. Its LTO, however, has to do with the upcoming eclipse–and it's a drink!
