Kristen Bell Admits She Lies to Her Kids (and We're All Like, ‘Same’)

We know, we know. Lying is bad. But if you’ve never lied to your kids, you’re lying to us. Kristen Bell knows it.

The Good Place star just went on Today and revealed that yeah, she sometimes lies to her kids—but it’s not as bad as it sounds.

She told Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb that she’ll lie about what time it is because “they can’t tell time.” OK, fair enough.

She went on to say, “I’ve also lied to them about when their birthday is. If it’s on, like, a Wednesday, and we can’t celebrate and we’re both working late, then guess what? Your birthday is on Saturday. They don’t know.”

We feel so validated right now.
