Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn Have Discussed Marriage After 40 Years Together
Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell
Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have one of those rare, long-lasting relationships that is practically unheard of in Hollywood. Despite the fact that they've been together for 40 years, however, they never married. But is there a chance they may one day say, "I do"?
Evidently, Russell, 72, and Hawn, 77, have discussed tying the knot!
During a joint interview with his and Hawn's son, Wyatt Russell, Kurt dished on the long-anticipated marriage (as well as their show, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters).
"I've been going with my girl for 40 years," Kurt told Extra's Billy Bush in a clip published on Friday, Nov. 17. "You know what, [marriage]'s come up in conversation whereas it never used to."
Wyatt, 37—who has been married to his wife for about four years—didn't hold back with his reaction to the question everyone always asks about his parents.
"Oh my god, it's like every f---ing interview that's ever been made," he said, laughing.
"We've both been married, so we've both done that," Kurt told Bush. "And you know what, we've lived our life. We've lived our life, we've had our family. Our family continues to grow. It's fantastic."
Hawn echoed these sentiments in a July interview on CNN's Who's Talking to Chris Wallace?
"Why should we get married? Isn't that a better question?" she told Wallace. "Because we have been married and because when it doesn't work out it ends up to be a big business. Somebody has to own something. It's always ugly."
Hawn continued: "Somebody has to actually take a look and say how many, how many divorces are fun? How many divorces actually don't cost money? How many divorces make you even hate the person more than you did before?"
Fair enough!
