Kylie Jenner says becoming a mom helped her ‘grow so much as a person’
Kylie Jenner has opened up about being a mother.
On Tuesday, Tmrw Magazine released its interview with the 23-year-old reality star, who tackled topics including growing up in the spotlight and life during the pandemic — which, she admitted, finally gave her time to stand still and spend time with her daughter Stormi Webster, shared with rapper Travis Scott.
“Becoming a mom was the biggest change for me,” Kylie said. “I’ve grown so much as a person and I continue to grow every single day. I love learning and I’m trying to be the best person I can possibly be. It’s been such a challenging year but the silver lining was that I had so much more time to spend with my family.”
This is not the first time that Jenner has talked about her experiences as a parent. In a February 2020 interview with Harper's Bazaar, she got candid about co-parenting with Scott.
"We have such a great relationship. We’re like best friends. We both love Stormi and want what’s best for her. We stay connected and coordinated. I think about [my parents] in situations with Stormi, what they would do. They were very hands-on with me, and I want the same for Stormi,” she explained at the time.
She added that she hoped her experience of growing up in the public eye would help her assist her daughter in better navigating all that comes with fame.
“I think about it a lot because the world is just so crazy now,” she said. “Exposing her to all of the negativity that comes with the Internet, I think about that too. I’m just trying my best, even though she’s still little, to remind her how blessed we are and that this isn’t normal, the way we live. It’s just our life. People want to take pictures. I think she would feel differently if I was always covering her face like, ‘Don’t look!’”
