Kylie Jenner Breaks Silence on Claims She’s Suing People for Using “Rise and Shine”
Kylie Jenner just hit Twitter to deny suing people for using her new catchphrase “rise and shine.”
Kylie says, “I have not sent any Rise and Shine cease and desist letters.”
If 2019 can be summed up in one moment, it’s Kylie Jenner stepping into Stormi’s room and singing “hrrrrriiise and shine.” Truly, some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this and Stormi got it at the age of 1.
Naturally, Kylie wasted approximately zero time launching Rise and Shine merch, and now there are reports that she’s sending cease and desist letters to companies that were using the iconic phrase before she even said it. Which is literally not true! At all!
Kylie hit Twitter to clear things up, confirming that nope...she’s not suing anyone. “Guys, please don’t believe everything you read,” she tweeted. “I have not sent any Rise and Shine cease and desist letters. Rise and Shine was an unexpected moment. I had a lot of fun with it, and I have laughed so hard seeing everyone’s memes since the video came out a few weeks ago.”
She also added, “There are no lawsuits, no cease and desist letters. Happy Sunday.”
Meanwhile, the company that Kylie was said to have contacted hit Instagram to clear things up, writing, “KYLIE HAS NOT SENT US ANY LETTERS. We are not being sued. All Kardashian/Jenner ‘hate’ comments will be deleted. We do not agree with bringing people down.”
Glad that’s cleared up. Kay, I’m going to just be here watching “rise and shine” memes, bye.
