Kylie Jenner Is Reportedly No Longer a Billionaire

Kylie Jenner shocked the world in March of 2019 when Forbes dubbed her the “youngest self-made billionaire ever.” We can argue the semantics of the “self-made” portion of that title for decades (in fact, we’ve been doing so for more than a year), but a more pressing correction stands: Forbes reports that Jenner is no longer a billionaire, and they claim it's unclear if she ever actually was.

“A more realistic accounting of her personal fortune puts it at just under $900 million,” the outlet reported in an article that was published on Friday, over a third of which is reported to have come from the majority sale of Kyle Cosmetics in January. Forbes has claimed that the numbers presented by Jenner’s team have been manipulated for years and that her accountant drafted tax returns with fake figures. “We can’t prove that those documents were fake (though it’s likely),” the article reads, but, “it’s clear that Kylie’s camp has been lying.”

The piece concludes with a telling anecdote. “As usual, we asked the Jenners for input on our numbers. But pressed for answers on the many discrepancies, the typically chatty family did something out of character: They stopped answering our questions.”

Jenner responded shortly after the article was published with a tweet refuting the claims. "What am i even waking up to. i thought this was a reputable site.." she wrote. "All i see are a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol. i’ve never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. period"
