How Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott's Relationship Privately Deteriorated: They 'Fell Out of Love'
A fuller picture has been painted over the last 24 hours about why Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott decided to step away from their two-year relationship. (They remain dedicated to co-parenting their daughter, Stormi.) TMZ stressed in its latest report that there was no blowout fight or cheating scandal: Their honeymoon phase just ended, and the two were confronted with reality and their very different lives.
People and E! were told by sources that Jenner wanted a more traditional family life than Scott was ready for at this stage of his career.
“Kylie is all about family life and really wants a second baby,” a source told People, noting their lifestyles clashed, especially since as a musician, Scott regularly tours. “She still has trust issues with Travis," the source continued. "He hasn’t been giving her the commitment that she needs. Travis isn’t ready to give her all that she wants.”
E!'s source spoke similarly about the situation. "Kylie is young, but she really wants the traditional family life," that source saiid. "She has seen her older sisters with big families and multiple kids and she wants the same. She loved being at home with Travis and their daughter Stormi Webster more than anything. But right now, their priorities are different." Jenner wishes Scott was "more dedicated to the family," that source said.
E! mentioned that Scott has a song coming out this Friday, "Highest in the Room." TMZ's sources debunked rumors the two's breakup was orchestrated just to create buzz around the song. The outlet was told news of their breakup going public is simply a coincidence...this is not some sort of stunt."
Entertainment Tonight, meanwhile, got intel from a source that Scott's cheating scandal from earlier this year really damaged their relationship. "Kylie and Travis haven’t been together as a couple for roughly a month, but they’re on good terms," their source said. "The couple has been hot and cold since their last breakup, and haven’t been able to fully get on the same page again. They are both extremely busy with different schedules and since Kylie found out about Travis messaging another girl on Instagram [in February], the rebuilding of trust has been hard."
And TMZ's sources attributed their breakup to the two falling out of love. The outlet wrote that "after Travis' Astroworld tour wrapped up and the two got back from Kylie's lavish bday getaway, everything slowed down, and they were confronted by the grind of normal life...and things felt different between them." Jenner and Scott tried to work it out for a while but couldn't, per TMZ.
People spoke to a source who was optimistic they'd reconcile though. “There is absolutely hope that they will get back together,” the source said. “They are both young, but smart when it comes to their relationship.”
