This morning, L.L. Bean joins a growing list of retailers who have raised their minimum age requirements for buying guns. The heritage clothing and outdoor equipment company announced via Twitter that they will no longer be selling guns or ammunition to anyone under the age of 21.

They shared the news in response to a fan who tweeted: "Hi LL Bean. Superfan here. Please do not sell guns to those under 21."

L.L. Bean says they made the change to their policy on firearm sales in the wake of the Parkland, Florida high school shooting in February but the Maine-based company isn't the only corporation raising its age restrictions. Walmart and Dick's Sporting Goods have also announced they will no longer be selling guns to anyone under 21.

According to Forbes, L.L. Bean has 37 stores, but "only its main flagship store in Freeport, Maine, has a license to sell firearms."
