LACMA Art + Film Gala’s Style Through the Years: Salma Hayek, Naomi Campbell, Rosé and More

The 2023 LACMA Art + Film Gala is approaching, with this year’s event scheduled for Saturday in Los Angeles. Leonardo DiCaprio and LACMA trustee Eva Chow are continuing their co-chair duties, as they have together since 2011.

Since its inception in 2011, the annual gala has brought in some of the biggest names in entertainment and fashion, from supermodels like Naomi Campbell to Oscar-winning actors like Jared Leto.

Gucci has been a sponsor of the LACMA Art + Film Gala, helping to raise millions of dollars for the event through donations and sales of seats and tables. The funds raised at the gala go toward supporting LACMA’s initiative to make the film more central to the museum’s curatorial programming. Funds are used for specific things such as exhibitions, acquisitions and educational programming, in addition to screenings that explore the intersection of art and film.

Due to its affiliation with a museum, VIP guest list and the high-fashion looks (often by Gucci) the event has earned a reputation as the Met Gala of the West Coast. WWD takes a closer look at some of the celebrities who have attended the stylish gala over the years.
