Lady Gaga & Glenn Close Just Tied for Best Actress at the Critics’ Choice Awards & Yaass!

Updated

The Critics’ Choice Awards race was close, Glenn Close.

The 71-year-old The Wife star and A Star Is Born’s Lady Gaga tied for best actress at last night’s award show, and their reactions were priceless.

Close was overcome with excitement and screamed, “I am so thrilled it’s a tie, I can’t tell you!” as she took the stage.

She went on to explain, “I was thinking that, you know, the world kind of pits us against each other in this profession, and I know that from all the women in this category, and I think I can speak for all the women in this room, we celebrate each other.”

Lady Gaga, 32, echoed Close’s sentiments, saying, “I am so very happy that you won this this evening. This is a tremendous honor.” She concluded her speech, of course, by thanking Bradley Cooper, but surprisingly didn’t mention anything about “100 people in a room.”

A tie for best actress? That’s an award show surprise we can definitely get behind.
