Lady Gaga's most memorable Grammy looks
Fans of award season know that even though the Grammy Awards are music’s biggest night, it’s really all about the fashion. The Grammys red carpet is always filled with shocking, sexy, and sometimes bizarre looks. And who is the queen of daring Grammys fashion? None other than Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga. The Grammy Award winner has stunned us year after year with her over-the-top ensembles. In anticipation for the upcoming awards, let’s take a trip down memory lane and look at some of Gaga’s craziest Grammy looks.
First up, back in 2010 Gaga made her Grammy performance debut. All eyes were on the “Poker Face” singer when she stepped onto the red carpet in this galactic lavender creation by Armani Privé.
That same night, after she won not one, but three Grammys, she stepped back out wearing this geometric headpiece and mind-blowing shoes. Seriously, though, how does she walk in those? Asking for a friend.
In 2012, though the pop star wasn’t nominated, she didn’t disappoint in the fashion department. She attended the awards wearing this avant-garde black netted mask.
In 2016, Gaga took to fashion to pay tribute to the late, great David Bowie. She stepped out wearing a blue suitlike gown from Marc Jacobs. The gown was a reminder of Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust days.
In 2017, Gaga’s look can only be described with one word: underboob. The “Joanne” singer rocked the revealing two-piece, Alex Ulichny ensemble in response to her Super Bowl body shamers. The pop star said, “I’m proud of my body, and you should be proud of yours, too. No matter who you are or what you do.” Not that she even needed to say anything — slaying this outfit definitely spoke volumes.
And last, but certainly not least, Gaga’s 2011 look is arguably the most buzzed-about Grammys fashion statement of all time. She always knows how to make an entrance, but in 2011 she may have outdone herself by arriving in an egg. Mother Monster finally emerged from the egg for her performance of “Born This Way.”
