On Monday, April 1, Lainey Wilson stepped out for a red carpet event looking as stunning as ever.
The 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, hosted by Ludacris, kicked off at 8 p.m. ET at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. But ahead of the main event, stars arrived on the red (technically yellow) carpet to show off their glamorous looks, pauses to take photos and give interviews.
As for Wilson, she rocked a black leather look with feathers and fringe cascading from her shoulders thanks to a shawl and a cowboy hat. "I feel like it was a little western," she said during a yellow carpet interview on iHeartRadio's livestream. "I've gotta bring that western... We're in LA, so I figured I'd bring out the leather."
Ahead of the awards show, Wilson's song, "Heart Like a Truck," was announced as the winner in the Country Song of the Year category. "It's huge," she said while on the yellow carpet. "Just being here is huge."
At the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Wilson was also nominated for Country Artist of the Year. She was among the lineup of performers at the awards show, too, in addition to Justin Timberlake, Green Day, Jelly Roll, Tate McRae and TLC.
Wilson hinted at a joint performance with Jelly Roll later in the evening. The duo teamed up for the track "Save Me," and fans were surely looking forward to seeing them sing the emotional ballad live.
