Jun. 24—Lake Geauga Habitat for Humanity recently announced plans for "Raise the Roof," a fundraising concert to support its mission of building affordable housing and providing critical home repairs for seniors, veterans and low-income families.

The event will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. June 28, at Meadow Ridge Events, 17305 Mayfield Road in Windsor. The concert will feature the opening act of Will Cheshier and then it's on to the 1980s new wave show by Cleveland's own Spazmatics, according to a news release.

"We are thrilled to host "Raise the Roof" and bring the community together to support our mission," Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Micheal Barb stated in the release. "Every ticket sold and every donation made will contribute to changing lives and building stronger communities."

In addition to the musical performances, the event will feature food; Baci wine; Mentor Brewing Co. beers; Destination Station, a silent auction that gives donors the opportunity to bid on their next vacation; and Liquor Lotto, and RallyUp raffle prizes already online.

Organizers are also looking for volunteers.
