Lamar Odom Involved in Early Morning Car Crash
Lamar Odom won't be able to take his white Mercedes for a ride for a while after a recent car crash.
The former professional basketball player was driving in a residential area near his home in Los Angeles, California, in the early morning hours when he was involved in the wreck.
The incident reportedly happened after Odom dropped his cell phone in his car and reached down to retrieve it, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. He then crashed into a parked car, which crashed into the car in front of it, per a statement and photos obtained by TMZ.
The airbags deployed, and luckily, Odom was not injured, although he was allegedly a little shaken up. His Mercedes was damaged and needed to be towed away, with a member of the star's security detail driving him home.
Odom was reportedly on his way home from a friend's house in Northridge at the time of the accident, which happened last week at approximately 3 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 11.
Police arrived and questioned Odom about the accident, asking if he had been drinking. He reportedly told them about being sober and owning rehabilitation facilities and they did not perform a sobriety test.
No one was in the two vehicles Odom crashed into at the time of the accident. After the owners of the affected cars came out of their residences, Odom exchanged information with them before the police left and then returned home.
