Lana Del Rey Debuted Retro Bangs at the 2024 Grammys

Paired with a giant hairbow.

If the 2024 Grammys are any indication, the year of the bang is bound to continue. Taylor Swift stepped out in some side-swooping bangs, Ella Balinska arrived with some classic wispy bangs, and so did Jameela Jamil with her signature style. However, our favorite pairs of bangs arrived on the head of none other than one of the night's biggest honorees, Lana Del Rey.

Del Rey is up for five nominations at the biggest night in music, including two of the most prestigious awards of the ceremony, Album of the Year and Song of the Year. Not to mention the other three: Best Alternative Music Performance, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Alternative Music Album. Clearly, for one of the biggest nights of her career thus far, she had to show up in one of the best looks of her career, which she did, down to the aforementioned bangs and her goth-coquette styling.

Lana walked the red carpet with jet black hair—much darker than the bronde shade she just recently wore in her ultra-viral Skims campaign. Her new bangs reached all the way below her eyebrows, grazing her eyelashes as they curved around her face, loosely framing it. The rest of her dark hair was styled straight from root to end, swept behind her shoulders, and reached the middle of her back. The hair trends didn't stop there, Del Rey also wore one of the biggest trends of 2023: a coquette hair bow. The crown of her hair was teased slightly, and she placed a big black bow with a long train on top.

The all-black goth-ette vibes continued into her outfit. Lana wore an all-black midi dress with a two-toned tulle feature. The bulk of the design was semi-see-through mesh, letting the beige underlayers peak through everywhere except where the velvet floral designs spread across the raised shoulders to a tutu-like skirt. She finished the look with even more bows; one around her waist, on the toes of her shoes, and on the base of her short mesh gloves.
