Lana Del Rey Literally Wore a Halo to the Grammys
Lana Del Rey's 2018 Grammys look is (literally) heavenly. The singer stepped onto the red carpet wearing a halo full of bejeweled stars in her hair.
Somehow, she managed to balance it at the top of her head.
The headpiece was the perfect match for the singer's custom Gucci gown. The flowy, retro-inspired number was dripping in crystals at the shoulders and covered in metallic beads and tiny stars on the rest of the dress. And as if she didn't have enough sparkle, she accessorized with a tie necklace and metallic platform sandals, which she flaunted from underneath her daring leg slit. On her wrist she wore a white rose, like many artists are this evening, in support of the Time's Up movement.
The rest of Del Rey's beauty look was also on point, in addition to her halo. Her sleek auburn locks carried a light curl, and she wore her signature winged eyeliner.
Fans noticed she also referenced this iconic Hedy Lamarr look.
Del Rey was nominated for a Grammy this year. She was in the running for Best Pop Vocal Album with Lust for Life, which was released last summer, but lost to Ed Sheeran's ÷ (Divide). Other nominees in the category were Imagine Dragons (Evolve), Coldplay (Kaleidoscope EP), Kesha (Rainbow) and Lady Gaga (Joanne).
This isn't her first time getting a nomination, however. Del Rey was previously nominated in 2015, for her work on The Weeknd's Beauty Behind the Madness, and in 2013, for Best Pop Vocal Album (Paradise) and Best Song Written for Visual Media ("Young and Beautiful," which appeared in The Great Gatsby).
