Las Vegas embraces ‘His Hop’ at hip-hop club with divine message
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas is no stranger to nightclubs and exotic entertainment. But a rising hip-hop club in Sin City isn’t what you think. Like any popular nightclub, there’s good music and tight beats, but at “His Hop”, there’s a different message being told.
“His Hop” is an up-and-coming gospel club in Las Vegas that uses music and the arts to promote the message of Christianity. For years, it was the only Christian club in Las Vegas until the business, which operates as a nonprofit, fell on hard times in 2018. Now, with the support of the community, Sam Stewart, President of “His Hop Nation” says they’re looking forward to reopening and sharing the gospel in our community.
“We want to promote positive music, positive stage plays, interact with our community,” said Stewart. “We really want to reach the youth and young adults and give them an alternative experience when it comes to live shows and the club environment.”
The nonprofit also offers various youth programs with mentorship services for at-risk youth in juvenile detention centers. As of right now, they’re looking for a new location to bring families together for fun, music, and a positive message.
“We want to make a difference. We want to make an impact in our community,” said Stewart.
