Las Vegas Sphere Eyes Major Artists Like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, and More for Next Residency
The Sphere in Las Vegas has become one of the most polarizing buildings in America since it first opened to the public earlier this year. The gargantuan concert venue has been the home of U2's Achtung Baby residency since September with the Irish rockers slated to perform shows at the Sphere through February 2024. Who performs there after that, however, remains a big question mark.
A report from The New York Post claims that the Sphere is considering some big-ticket artists for its next residency. Chief among them is Beyoncé, who just wrapped up her massive Renaissance World Tour and will be premiering its accompanying concert film Dec. 1. Lady Gaga, who is already starring in her own Vegas residency, is also reportedly among the names being floated around, as well as Bon Jovi and Paul McCartney.
MSG Entertainment chair James Dolan hinted at the high-level talks on a Nov. 8 earnings call. "We’re having conversations with artists across a wide variety of genres, including discussing runs of varying lengths," he said. "We expect to host two additional residencies in the [first half of 2024] and look forward to sharing more detail."

According to the Post, Dolan has been in communication with Beyoncé's team about nabbing her for a residency next year. Her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, and her husband Jay-Z have reportedly already taken tours of the venue. In order to bring the show to life, her team is allegedly requesting about $10 million—roughly the same the Sphere spent to put on the U2 residency—to produce the show.
Between this, the Renaissance tour, and the upcoming concert film, Beyhive members are going to be broke if the Vegas rumors are true.
