Latina beauty brand Reina Rebelde just launched its first influencer collab

Makeup brand Reina Rebelde (which means “rebel queen”) was founded by Regina Merson and calls itself a brand that’s “for Latinas by Latinas.”

“Our goal from the beginning has always been simple,” says the brand on its website. “Reina Rebelde is about the beautiful Latinas that make our community so powerful.” Now, Reina Rebelde is launching its first-ever collaboration, with Kay-Lani Martinez, aka @viva_glam_kay.

The 27-year-old social media beauty influencer is of Puerto Rican descent and has 1.4 million followers on Instagram alone. Martinez has co-created two products for the brand, which are inspired by her deep connection to her Puerto Rican heritage. First up is Rebel Eye Definer Liquid in “Bonita Bandera,” a bright blue shade, and Bold Lip Color Stick in “Alma Desnuda,” a nude lipstick.

Merson writes that she and Martinez “are proud to donate a portion of proceeds from this collaboration to UNIDOS, Disaster Relief & Recovery Program to Support Puerto Rico. We hope you will feel inspired by the love and cultural pride that was put into this collaboration!”

My nerves are all over the place sharing this moment with you guys!!! @ReinaRebelde and I collaborated on two beautiful new products which are a celebration of me and my love of Puerto Rico, which you can shop RIGHT NOW! You have to head to my YouTube channel right now to learn about the two products — Rebel Eye Definer Liquid in Bonita Bandera and Bold Lip Color Stick in Alma Desnuda. Plus, how crazy that I managed to get Regina, the founder of Reina Rebelde, to come all the way to Florida from Texas to film this very special video where we explain how this collaboration came to life and what my Puerto Rican identity means to me! Regina and I worked so hard to bring this moment to life. ???? It went from an idea to this very moment right here & it’s so surreal to me. A lot of you have been asking me for years when I would have my opportunity to collaborate with a brand and like I do with a lot in my life I was just waiting for the right moment. You all have no idea how grateful I am to Regina & you guys for making this moment possible for me. For a fierce Latina like Regina to give me a chance like this is something that I will carry in my heart forever. I cannot wait to see you guys create looks using my products. That’ll make this moment even more real for me!!!! ???????????????????? You can shop all the products now at https://www.ReinaRebelde.com We have so many fun things planned — from epic giveaways of the PR box to an IG live with Regina and I together! But this celebration of beauty and Puerto Rico also reminds us that Puerto Rico is still rebuilding after the destruction of Hurricane Maria. Reina Rebelde and I are proud to donate a portion of the sales to the Hispanic Federation’s UNIDOS Disaster Relief & Recovery Program to Support Puerto Rico! #VivaGlamKayxReinaRebelde #VivaGlamKayxReinaRebelde #SupportSmallBusinesses #LatinaOwned #Latinx
