Laura Dern Debuts Purple Hair for New 'Star Wars' Movie
Plenty of people have been dying to get a peek into Star Wars: The Last Jedi — particularly the role of actress Laura Dern. She’s been super secretive, but we finally got a glance at what her character will look like.
Spoiler alert: It involves purple hair.
While sharing a behind-the-scenes peek into a recent cover shoot, Vanity Fair revealed a photo of Dern with a short, curly, purple-hued hairstyle that practically matched the tone of her back-draped dress. The magazine’s senior writer Joanna Robinson posted the photo to Twitter, offering an early look at grape-candy-colored ensemble.

Vanity Fair’s lengthy article did not completely spill the beans on the 50-year-old’s character, but it did share that Dern will be playing the role of Vice Admiral Holdo, who is “a prominent officer in the resistance.”
We will have to stay tuned or check out the new movie to see exactly how Dern and her purple hair all tie together in the new flick. Until then… consider borrowing the look for your next costume party?
