Lauren Akins And Ranger Station Launch New Perfume Collection In Time For Holiday Shopping
Part of the proceeds from these new scents will benefit Love One International, a nonprofit that provides life-saving medical care to children in Uganda.
Lauren Akins has launched a pair of outdoorsy his-and-hers perfumes in collaboration with Nashville fragrance house Ranger Station, just in time for your holiday shopping.
If you pick up a bottle for a gift, you can also feel good about doing it. The author and philanthropist plans for half of the proceeds from her Daisy & Cowboy Perfume Collection to benefit Love One International, a nonprofit that provides life-saving medical care to children in Uganda. Ranger Station simultaneously launched a limited-edition candle to support the cause.
“When Lauren and the Love One team approached us with the idea of creating a fragrance collection, we jumped at the opportunity,” Steve Soderholm, co-founder of Ranger Station, said in a press release. “We have been blessed to call Lauren a dear friend for years and it was so much fun to work with her to design signature scents that help further Love One’s mission to serve the children of Uganda. It is one of the major honors of our careers to help give back to this wonderful organization doing such important work.”
If you're wondering what kind of scents the wife of country singer Thomas Rhett would produce, Ranger Station describes them as earthy and rugged. The Daisy Perfume, which is "grounding and calming," includes notes of musky ambergris and earthy sandalwood. The Cowboy Perfume has a hint of leather and "captures the rugged, magnetic spirit of the great outdoors." On social media, Akins shared a video produced for the new collection with romantic scenes of Akins and Rhett on the horse farm.
Akins described designing the scents as a lot of fun, "especially when it gives back to Love One, which is so near and dear to my heart."
“I have always enjoyed wearing perfume, but I’ve never found a scent that truly feels like me," Akins added. "I’m really excited to share this with everyone!”
As for the Love One Candle, it combines the scents of leather, pine, ambergris, and woodsmoke—it sure sounds like the ideal recipe for a rustic holiday scent.
The perfumes are hand-mixed to order in Nashville and are paraben, phthalate, and sulfate-free. They retail for $94 and can be found at Ranger Stations' flagship store in the 12South neighborhood in Nashville, ordered online, or found at boutiques around the country.
