This Is Lauren Conrad’s Remarkably Humble Parenting Mantra
Lauren Conrad is a fashion designer, lifestyle maven, new mom and Kellogg’s cereal maven. With so much going on, we’re left to wonder how she makes it all run (relatively) smoothly while toting around her 7-month-old son, Liam.
So we went straight to the source and chatted with the Paper Crown designer about her approach to parenting.
When asked to describe her style of motherhood in one word, Conrad thought for a moment and thensaid, “Flexible.” She added, “I think the one thing we learned very quickly is that if you make a plan and you really want to stick to it, it can become frustrating. So you want to be flexible with your child…because every child is different and you don’t know what your challenges are going to be. You don’t really know what you’re in for until you’re there.”
Conrad says she has her “brutally honest” friends to thank for keeping her so grounded, saying they helped her realize that “every experience is different and just being flexible and not being too hard on yourself if things aren’t going perfect [is what makes for an easier first year].”
LC for the win.
