Krispy Kreme is making the extra day a little sweeter by offering customers a dozen of their beloved glazed donuts for just $2.29 with the purchase of any regularly priced dozen, the company announced Monday.

And customers who have a leap day birthday — the rarest birthday one could have — can get a free original glazed dozen, no purchase necessary. However, proof of birthday is required.

“An extra day in the year is an irresistible opportunity for Krispy Kreme to be extra-sweet to our guests,” Dave Skena, global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme, said in a statement. “So, we’re sweetening Leap Day by the dozens, including for fans whose true birthday comes around only every four years.”

Leap day comes around every four years, and it just so happens that this one is also the fourth anniversary of Wendy’s breakfast menu.

To celebrate, Wendy’s is offering customers a free Cinnamon-Pull-Apart during breakfast hours, while supplies last.

“Our new Cinnabon Pull-Apart merges nostalgia and deliciousness in every ooey-gooey bite, offering a unique spin on a classic cinnamon roll,” Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. chief marketing officer for The Wendy’s Company, said in a statement.

“As we celebrate our four-year breakfast anniversary with this new product, we’re offering sweet deals starting on leap day — a day that only comes around every four years.”

The deals don’t end on Thursday, though.

Wendy’s and DoorDash are coming together to offer additional Cinnabon Pull-Apart deals through March 10 for DashPass members.
