LEGO Discovery Center Washington, D.C. celebrates teachers, month-long free admission

SPRINGFIELD — LEGO Discovery Center Washington, D.C. is having a Teacher Appreciation Month to thank professionals who inspire the next generation. Starting next week, teachers will receive free entry, and they will also be able to invite up to four guests who will receive 50% off standard admission tickets.

The deal is valid Sept. 1-30 every day except for Saturdays. To receive the offer, all teachers must present a teacher employee ID or paystub upon arrival to gain entry. Teacher Appreciation Month tickets are limited, and teachers are encouraged to book online in advance at legodiscoverycenter.com.

The Teacher Appreciation Month offer is also valid at admissions; however, entry is not guaranteed due to capacity for the day. All adults must have a child in their party with them for entry.

In January, LEGO Discovery Center Washington D.C. was crowned a top 10 new attraction by USA Today, readers' choice. The Discovery Center, a 32,000-square-foot family attraction, was North America’s first LEGO Discovery Center built from the ground up. Guests can enjoy an interactive ride, Imagination Express, where families travel through an over-sized LEGO world on an unforgettable train ride, along with a DUPLO Park, 4D Cinema and more in the 12 eye-catching zones created for budding builders.

LEGO Discovery Center Washington, D.C. opened in August of 2023 and is located at 6563 Springfield Town Center Suite 12004 in Springfield. The hours for the special offer are Sunday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., last entry at 4:30 p.m. and Monday-Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., last entry at 3:30 p.m. Have fun!
