Derived from the cannabis plant, this compound is being formulated into serums, salves and all sorts of CBD stress and pain-relieving products because it’s highly effective without actually getting you high, according to experts. And “Gossip Girl” actress Leighton Meester is the latest celebrity to co-sign the CBD trend.

In Shape magazine’s April issue, the 32-year-old shares the many ways she likes to de-compress living and working in drama-filled Hollywood. While Meester enjoys starting her mornings with tea and outfitting her trailer with an essential oil diffuser and foam roller massages, she reaches for a popular CBD beauty product for special TLC.

She explained: “I use CBD [cannabidiol] balm to try to reduce the stress and tension in my shoulders and hands.”
