This Lengthening Mascara Costs $72—But It’s Totally Worth It
Like many other people on the Internet, I scratched my head the first time I read that Chantecaille's Faux Cils Longest Lash Mascara comes with a $72 price tag. But then, I tried it.

Whenever I put this mascara on my lashes, I immediately stop caring that it costs nearly as much as my monthly cell-phone bill. The wax-based formula makes my lashes look long, shiny, and separated, but still thick. It never clumps or flakes, and, like many of Chantecaille's other products, it has subtle, pleasant scent thanks to conditioning rose oil. A single coat is perfect for a more natural finish, but I can easily layer it on days that call for extra-dramatic lashes.
The brush is perfect, too. It's fat and fluffy, but the end is tapered so you can reach those hard-to-get lashes at the inner corners of your eyes without getting any mascara smudges on your skin.

As an added bonus, the formula doesn't just make your lashes look long enough to be mistaken for extensions, it also encourages them to grow thicker and longer. The formula is spiked with a stimulating peptide similar to what's used in eyelash growth serums. In other words, this mascara's a two-in-one product, which has swayed me to restock it whenever I've gone through an entire tube.
