Leonardo DiCaprio started awards season doing the shows on his own, but he's not ending it that way. The actor and his girlfriend of two years, Camila Morrone, are sitting together at the Oscars. During Janelle Monáe's opening number, she went up to the two in the front row, as seen above.

This decision to sit with Morrone is big for DiCaprio, who has never taken her with him as his date to an event. The two arrived separately on the Oscars red carpet and didn't pose together. Morrone posed first and came early; DiCaprio was one of the final arrivals:

The two could both attend an after party following the ceremony and pose together there, although that may not be likely. Both have tried to keep the details of their relationship private—something making a red carpet debut wouldn't exactly accomplish. Heck, Morrone hasn't directly posted about DiCaprio on her own social media.

This could still shape up to be a big night for DiCaprio—big enough that he wanted Morrone alongside him. The star is nominated for Best Actor for his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The film also has a Best Picture nomination.

Morrone spoke to the Los Angeles Times about DiCaprio in December, but only about the criticism their 23-year age gap has generated. DiCaprio is 45 while Morrone is 22.

“There’s so many relationships in Hollywood—and in the history of the world—where people have large age gaps,” she said. “I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.” She added that she understands why the public is so fascinated by it. “I probably would be curious about it too.”

Morrone said she'd like to be known for her own career, not just her status as DiCaprio's girlfriend. “I think more and more now that people are seeing the film [Mickey and the Bear], I’m slowly getting an identity outside of that,” she said. “Which is frustrating, because I feel like there should always be an identity besides who you’re dating…I understand the association, but I’m confident that will continue to slip away and be less of a conversation.”
