Potatoes on pizza? Odd, but okay, let's dive in!

If Molinari, who's known for sharing pizza demonstrations on TikTok, says it's good, it must be!

"Potatoes on pizza?" she said as she stabbed an unsuspecting potato with a knife. "What about it?"

She then sliced up a red potato saying "You want them nice and thin." After making her pizza dough and tossing it around a bit, she added mozzarella cheese, and ricotta in clumps to the pizza dough. She then mixed up the thin potato slices with olive oil and seasonings in a bowl. After they were all mixed up, she popped them onto the pizza.

"What's your favorite kind of way to eat a potato?" she asked. "My favorite kind of way to eat a potato is fried, but restaurant-style fried where it's like flaky on the outside."

She then pulled her pizza out of the oven, sliced it up, and gave it a try saying it was "really good." Her father then grabbed a slice to try it and said, "That's a great pizza."

Potato Pizza Isn't A Norm For Many People!

Molinari's video has received nearly 1 million views and has tons of comments, with many people saying they've never had a potato pizza.

Molinari shared a little of her backstory in another TikTok video. In this "get ready with me," or GRWM, video, she gave some more insight into her love of cooking and how it began.

"For anyone who's been here since 2019, 2020, I had somewhat of a following for doing TikTok dances," she said. "My entire life I've always been surrounded by cooking and food and Italian food, or I should say, Italian American food. I don't do everything the authentic way because I'm an American living in New Jersey, and my parents are Americans living in New Jersey, originally from Staten Island."

She said that when she was younger, her parents were always working in their restaurant and instead of getting a babysitter, they took her and her brothers to the restaurant with them.

"I'd be around the cooks and I kind of got introduced to the restaurant world with my parents," she continued. "At the off chance that we were home for dinner, my mom would always cook homecooked meals. She also taught me a lot of what I know about cooking. I'd watch her cook, help her, ask questions. I was always just very interested in cooking."

Julia Molinari's Goal Is 'To Get To Italy'

Molinari continued her GRWM video talking about a goal she currently has.

She said she loves to make pizzas and the demonstration videos on TikTok, as it's a "huge creative outlet" for her.

Many viewers dropped into the comment section to share their thoughts on Molinari's backstory video.

"You are an amazing inspiration to people," one person wrote in the comments. Another person shared, "You're gonna love Italy, the art, the history, the family, the weather, just be streetwise!"
