Liam Hemsworth Breaks His Instagram Silence on His Split With Miley Cyrus
One day after The Daily Mail Australia claimed it got the first quote from Liam Hemsworth on his and Miley Cyrus' separation, Hemsworth took to Instagram to share the only comment he wants out there about the matter. Hemsworth shared a photo of a sunset and wrote a brief message addressing the Daily Mail comment that went viral (the outlet claimed he told a reporter, who asked him about the split, "You don't understand what it's like. I don't want to talk about it, mate"). He also included a sweet note to Cyrus.
He wrote:
Hi all
Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.
This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false.
Peace and Love.
Hemsworth's comment comes amid sources talking to outlets about how he is privately coping. E! was told by a source that Hemsworth is "dealing with a lot. It makes him uncomfortable that everything has been so public. It's been a difficult few weeks for him. He's with his family and just wants to be around people that are going to a support him and try and take his mind off of what's going on."
And Entertainment Tonight was told by a source that Hemsworth was "hurt but not surprised" by Cyrus' fling with Brody Jenner's ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter. Its source did not rule out the chance of Cyrus and Hemsworth reconciling.
"Miley and Liam love each other and always will," the source said. "Most of their friends feel they'll be back together. No one thinks Miley and Kaitlynn are in a real relationship, they believe it's more fun on vacation."
