It’s not all that often that Hollywood’s most sought-after men are seen sporting nail polish, but Liam Hemsworth recently did just that. In an effort to raise awareness about child abuse, Liam painted one fingernail neon green as part of the Polished Man Challenge on Instagram.

The image he shared shows Liam taking a selfie of himself with one painted finger pointed up in the air, along with the caption, “Thanks @chrishemsworth happy to also be a @polishedman and paint a nail this month to say NO to violence against children. 1 in 5 kids globally are subjected to physical or sexual violence before they turn 18. I nominate@hemsworthluke @kellyslater and@jimmyfallon find out more and how to help/donate at https://polishedman.com @auschildhood #polishedman.” See the photo for yourself below:

Hopefully, the people Liam nominated (his brother Luke, Kelly Slater, and Jimmy Fallon) will decide to join in. Liam wasn’t the only one to partake in the Polished Man Challenge; his brother Chris (who actually nominated Liam to do it in the first place), as well as Zac Efron, took to Instagram to support the cause too.

If you’re unfamiliar with Polished Man, it’s a group that works toward starting a conversation about child abuse on social media to raise both awareness and money to combat the issue. Funds raised in the U.S. go to the New York Center for Children. According to the website, “1 in 5 children are subject to physical and/or sexual violence before the age of 18,” which is a terrifying reality.

If you want to partake in the challenge yourself, men can paint a fingernail and post it to social media using the hashtag #polishedman and tagging @polishedman. You can also donate to the cause.
