Her video was captioned, “Does anyone else eat dinner at 4:25 p.m. because your kids asked for a snack and if they had a snack, they wouldn’t eat dinner so you just serve them dinner?”
With more than 2.2 million views and more than 2,000 comments, Boyuk’s video had a lot of commenters agreeing with early dinners being the best option.
“We eat early dinners, works well in my household,” one commenter said.
Another said, “Even with my teens. They are famished after school. Early dinner then an evening snack.”

Others weren’t so sure about the idea saying, “4 p.m. is like late lunchtime for me” and “No because then they ask for more food around dinner.”
Another TikToker, @blissfullybarnes, said she feeds her kids even earlier.
She posted a video saying, “I feed my kids dinner at 3:30 p.m. every day, and here’s why. When our kids get home from school, they are absolutely starving. So instead of allowing them to fill up on snacks, we feed the dinner. And because they are so hungry, they always finish everything that’s on their plate.”

The caption of the video reiterated that early dinners sometimes work best for kids.
“Life hack: Feed your kids dinner when they get home from school instead of filling them up with snacks,” the caption said. “This way they eat all their dinner and can snack later if they are still hungry!”
According to the Cleveland Clinic, having an earlier dinner can actually be good for your health and some studies show that eating later in the day increases your risk for obesity.
