Why is it a good deal? ??

The LifeStraw Personal Water Filter rarely goes on sale. In fact, this is the price we've seen for it all year! That means that if you like to travel or camp, now is the time to add this handy gadget to your cart.

Why do I need this? ??

The straw contains a microfiltration membrane that removes 99.999999 percent of waterborne bacteria (including E. coli and salmonella), and 99.999 percent of waterborne parasites (including giardia and cryptosporidium). The filter also removes the smallest microplastics found in the environment and reduces turbidity down to 0.2 microns.

You use this like any other straw. Simply remove the cap, place one end of the straw into the water you come across in nature, and suck. The hollow fibers inside the straw trap pathogens, so the only thing that touches your lips is clean, safe, drinkable water. It's a must-have for your next long hike or camping trip; at just two ounces, it won’t weigh down your pack. And you'll enjoy its benefits for a good long time. The microbiological filter will provide 1,000 gallons of clean and safe drinking water.

What reviewers say ??

Shoppers absolutely rave about the straw — it's amassed over 96,000 five-star ratings!

Pros ??

“I drank from the most disgusting-looking crevice filled with brown scum. I thought, this is going to be safe, but taste horrid. WRONG. TASTED LIKE THE FRESHEST SPRING WATER. Better than any tap,” one person wrote.

"Great water filtration straw," one adventurer shared. "This highly portable water purification unit is excellent for emergency situations. Its lightweight design makes it ideal for backpacking. It effectively filters out waterborne contaminants, providing peace of mind that it’s reliable when you need it most."

"I keep one of these in every pack, with every kayak and in each vehicle," wrote a happy outdoorsman. "Being able to have drinkable water anywhere could be the difference between life and death, literally.
They're cheap enough and compact enough I grab one whenever I see a good deal on them."

Cons ??

Some shoppers have some suggestions to get the water flowing.

"So far I haven’t gotten sick so I guess it works," shared a reviewer. "I will say though you have to follow the instructions and use it properly. I find it easiest to use first suck up water until it barely flows into your mouth then blow into the straw until all the water comes out of the straw. Then put the straw back into the creek and it’ll start flowing much easier and you’ll be able to drink as much water as you want. It took me a few attempts to figure this out but I’m glad I did."

"The one drawback to the LifeStraw is that it does take a bit of suction to start and keep the water flowing," wrote another shopper. "When you're at high altitudes in the mountains this leads to longer "drink breaks" since you can get winded pretty easily while trying to suck up water through the LifeStraw. However, its size and weight advantages when hiking mountainous terrain vastly outweigh this minor drawback."

LifeStraw is also big on giving back. For every straw you purchase, a child in need receives safe drinking water for an entire school year.

This baby can filter up to a liter of water at a time to give you clean drinking water anywhere you go.
