Lifetime Just Cast the Leading Roles for ‘Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance’: Meet the Actors Here

The true royal treatment must also include hair and makeup, no? Lifetime announced Monday, February 5, that it has cast its leads for the upcoming Lifetime movie, Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance.

According to Entertainment Weekly, newcomer Murray Fraser and Jessica Jones’ Parisa Fitz-Henley will play the royal pair in the made-for-TV movie, which will air prior to the real couple’s May 18 nuptials.

The movie will likely follow the royal romance, which began in the fall of 2016, through their whirlwind courtship, including the exotic trips, the secret flights across the globe, and more. It will also reportedly look back at the couple’s separate lives prior to their relationship and eventual November 2017 engagement.

Production on the film began just last week, with filming taking place in both Los Angeles and Vancouver, where Markle was previously based.

Lifetime previously spotlighted another royal couple’s romance with William & Kate: The Movie, a Lifetime flick that was largely panned upon its release.

The 2011 movie starred Grey’s Anatomy’s Camilla Luddington as Kate Middleton and Nico Evers-Swindell as Prince William, and aired just 11 days before their headline-making wedding ceremony.

Prince Harry and Markle will marry on May 19, at St. George’s Chapel at the Queen’s second home of Windsor Castle.
