Lindsay Lohan Hints at New (Maybe) Religious Fashion Project
Between requesting meetings with President Trump and Vladimir Putin about the Syrian refugee crisis, posting pleas for sequels of her old movies on social media, and claiming she was racially profiled for wearing a headscarf, Lindsay Lohan is finding time to design, apparently.
The actress posted an image on Twitter and Instagram this morning of herself wearing a veil with the caption, “New fashion line coming soon,” exciting some of her fans. “Omg legend we loved 6126,” one person tweeted. “When? when? when??? Can’t waaait this year is absolutely yours!!!” another said. On Instagram, the announcement was received well by Lohan’s Muslim fans, with responses like “masha allah,” “alhamdulillah,” and “Subhan allah.”
Lohan didn’t provide much information beyond that, so we’ll just have to see what she actually has up her sleeve, if anything. She has done several design collaborations, including her universally panned collection for Ungaro Spring 2010, her 6126 leggings collection, a line with U.K. label Lavish Alice, and ones with Civil Clothing and PacSun. It’s unclear whether this alleged forthcoming collection will be a collaboration or a solo project.
Still, it’s fun to speculate! Given Lohan’s activism on behalf of Syrian refugees and newfound interest in Islam (her Instagram profile reads, “Alaikum salam”), perhaps she’s thinking of a line of stylish hijabs? Maybe the proceeds will benefit the refugees?
Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see what Lohan delivers next.
