'Has-been loser' Lindsay Lohan slams Zendaya's Met Gala look
Zendaya may have literally lit up the red carpet with her Cinderella-inspired Tommy Hilfiger gown at Monday night’s Met Gala, but it’ll apparently take a lot more to impress Lindsay Lohan.
Zendaya’s magical look — which glowed blue when stylist Law Roach, as her “fairy godmother,” waved a wand — was the talk of this year’s ball. The dress got a shoutout on the Disney-themed Instagram account Disney Lifestylers, which prompted a certain former Disney star to weigh in.
Lohan, who leaped to fame after starring in 1998’s The Parent Trap, accused Zendaya of copying a look worn by actress Claire Danes for the 2016 Met Gala. Inspired by that year’s theme, “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology," Danes’s Zac Posen gown featured similar light-up, fiber-optic technology.
“You wore this dress so beautifully, I don’t know why someone thinks that they can be more chic. Ever,” commented Lohan, tagging Danes.
“Claire Danes did that with Zac Posen already,” she added.
Zendaya’s fans didn’t appreciate the criticism.
“Seriously?” wrote one. “Remind me, [were] The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday movies [where] you did the original? Or did you remake something someone already did???? Zendaya and Claire Danes both looked great!”
“Show us the dress you wore to the Met Gala,” shot back another Zendaya fan. “Go ahead, I’ll wait ... EXACTLY! Go sit down somewhere. Zendaya and Claire Danes both looked amazing.”
“You’re not even invited to the Met ... why are you even speaking?” added a commenter, while another called Lohan a “has-been loser.”

Zendaya, Danes and Posen — who designed 3-D printed ensembles for Jourdan Dunn and Nina Dobrev for this year’s gala — have not addressed Lohan’s comments.
