Lindsie Chrisley Details Why She Didn't Reach Out to Sister Savannah After Death of Her Ex

The Chrisley family

Lindsie Chisley is opening up about her decision not to reach out to her sister Savannah in the wake of her ex's death.

Though Nic Kerdiles died in a motorcycle accident nearly two weeks ago, Lindsie hasn't spoken out about his loss on her social media, nor reached out to her sister in private.

On her podcast Southern Tea, the 34-year-old explained that her silence is not meant to be a diss or cause controversy. In fact, it's her way of respecting the younger woman.

"In short, I have not reached out to Savannah," she admitted. "I know that she is, understandably, very upset and grieving, and I in no way wanted to make the situation worse than what it already was."

She then referenced Savannah's recent appearance on Nick Viall's Viall Files, where she was incredibly candid about their difficult relationship, even noting that it was better for all if they didn't speak with one another.

"I chose to respect her wishes that she had expressed on that guest spot on Nick Viall's podcast regarding us not having any type of involvement in each other's personal lives," Lindsie continued. "And just decided that it was best, not only for her but for me, not to reach out."

That doesn't mean she doesn't care, though, as she's been checking in through other means. "I have had communication with other family members who have been in communication with her and checked that way," she shared. "My heart goes out to her as it would to anybody that was in that situation."

Lindsie also emphasized the difficult relationships she and her family have had all around, noting that she was estranged from the whole group of them when Savannah and Kerdiles began dating. Shortly after they reconnected, the couple broke up.

"So I didn't have a ton of knowledge or insight on that relationship," she pointed out. "I can only speak to what I experienced and it was very minimal interaction." In addition to that, she believes that his "family does not want his memory to be overshadowed by the Chrisley family and so for that reason, that is why I have not said anything on social media whatsoever."

She later clarified, "I don't want it to come across harsh or ever come across as insincere or to feel, like, 'Oh, well, I'm just being hostile or being petty.' There's none of that going on whatsoever; it's just a respect for what was said and I'm honoring that."
