Lisa Rinna Reveals Actual Reason Behind 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Exit
Lisa Rinna put down her diamond for a good reason.
Almost five months after announcing her exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the longtime Bravo personality has given insight into her decision to leave the popular program.
As she detailed in her cover story for ES, she was struggling with the way fans responded to the dramatic storylines that played out on RHOBH. "I think the world itself has gotten so volatile that the response doesn’t match what we’re doing," she shared. "I didn’t want to live like that. I don’t think that’s healthy. The way the fan base reacts to the show now is not how it was when I first started."

In fact, as Rinna put it bluntly, "We were getting death threats. Some of the most horrible things I’ve ever seen in print in my life, and it’s a reality show! It’s a stupid show."
Because of this, Rinna hit her breaking point and decided it was "time to go." She added, "I’m not sure how much longer that can exist in the zeitgeist, to be honest with you."
After a rocky last season, Rinna made her exit from the franchise official in January 2023. She announced at the time, "This is the longest job I have held in my 35-year career and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series."
She continued, "It has been a fun eight-year run and I am excited for what is to come."
Of course, she wasn't the only Housewife to walk away, as Diana Jenkins also announced her departure after only one season on RHOBH.
