The collection features three candles inspired by the memorable lines and moments from the 2004 teen comedy. Each candle features its own unique scent and artwork, displaying recognizable imagery from the movie.
The Burn Book candle features notes of smoke and clovebud for earthy, smoky scents, while the candle On Wednesdays We Wear Pink smells like toasted strawberry strudel, evocative of warm baked goods just out of the oven. Finally the You’re a Regulation Hottie scented candle features notes of tulips and freesia for a floral addition to the trio of candles collection.
“Literie began as a way for us to highlight parts of New York City with scent but has grown to create candles for many other iconic places and moments,” said Erica Werber, Founder of Literie. “Few things in the past 20 years have had the lasting cultural impact of ‘Mean Girls,’ so this collaboration was an exciting natural extension of the brand.”

Literie launched in 2021 and focused on capturing the scents of New York City’s iconic features like the Great Lawn in Central Park and the flower markets on 28th Street in its candles. Since then, the company has collaborated with the U.S. Open, Junior’s Cheesecake, Something Navy’s Arielle Charnas and even candles inspired by moments from Bravo’s “The Real Housewives” and “Below Deck” franchises.
“Mean Girls,” written by Tina Fey, hit theaters in 2004 and stars Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried. The film received the musical treatment and held its Broadway premiere in 2018, earning 12 Tony Award nominations. In 2024, a film adaptation of the musical debuted starring Reneé Rapp, Angourie Rice, Avantika Vandanapu and Bebe Wood.
