Little Boy's Determination to Rescue Frozen Little Hedgehog Should Be Applauded
The poor little thing was shivering in the snow.
When most folks think about animal rescuers, they might picture someone famous like Steve Irwin. Others will think of someone who runs a wildlife sanctuary, or maybe even a veterinarian. TikTok user @florahsrecovery will always think of her son, Eli, though, especially after he went out of his way to save a frozen little hedgehog from the cold.
The critter was wandering aimlessly in the snow as the boy made a snowman one evening, but the rest of the story will warm your heart. This lucky mama knows what a kind little boy she has on her hands!

Eli is such a thoughtful young gentleman! Not only did he choose to save the hedgehog without a second thought, but he emptied his whole toy box to do so. He's the true definition of selfless, and TikTok loves him just as much as we do.
"This is so sweet," said viewer @ashleygrogg1. "Hope Henry makes it thru the night and keep us updated on him. You raised a good kid. So proud of him." We can't imagine how proud his mom must be! He was so intuitive to know that the hedgehog needed saving in the first place, but then he went above and beyond to help the creature get comfy.
@Kenzbeatty wrote that hedgehogs "are native in AFRICA!! Someone released it. Please keep it!! It would have died fast." We sure hope the little one wasn't purposely released! Whatever the story was, though, Eli and his mom took the right steps once they found the stray hedgehog. Check out @florahsrecovery's update video!

Aww! We love that everyone gets a happy ending, even if Eli and Henry can't be together. The new plushie will be Eli's perfect reminder of their incredible adventure--though we're sure his mom won't forget, either.
