This little boy's reaction to meeting his newborn sister for the 1st time is the sweetest

A video of a little boy meeting his newborn baby sister for the first time is the happiest thing on Twitter, and other users are taking notice.

“Y’all, my best friend had her baby today & this was her son’s reaction to meeting his sister for the FIRST TIME. My heart,” Justyce Shavue tweeted Monday.

The video, with almost 6 million views, recorded the little boy gasping as his sister is lifted from her hospital bassinet and placed next to his mother in bed. “My sissy!” he exclaims, delighted, stretching out his arms to hold her and planting kisses on the infant.

When he finally gets his new sister in his arms, he seems absolutely awestruck. It looks as if his mother did a great job of explaining how vital his new role of “big brother” is, and he’s more than willing to take on the gig.

People had emotional responses to the “best big brother ever.” And on the viral tweet, people posted throwback photos of family members meeting newborn babies in the hospital. While some looked overjoyed, others seemed less than impressed with the new addition.

Apparently, not every family has the picture-perfect moment, but we’re sure the siblings all grew to have a loving relationship.

Shavue did not return Yahoo Lifestyle’s request for comment.
