'Little to no chance' Dairy Queen burgers are made from humans, coroner confirms
Dairy Queen was forced to confirm that its hamburgers are 100 percent beef, and not composed of human meat after a Greenwood, South Carolina restaurant was swarmed by federal agents, Homeland Security officers and local officials on Wednesday. The Greenwood County Coroner even went on the record to say that there is "little to no chance" of the fast-food restaurant's burgers containing human meat.
On Friday, Dairy Queen took to social media to clarify the ingredients of its hamburgers after multiple conspiracy theories surfaced following Greenwood Dairy Queen manager Saif Momin’s interview with Index-Journal regarding the presence of FBI, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division officials at the restaurant on Wednesday.
He told the outlet that a corporate inspector informed him that somebody lodged a complaint about "human meat being inside a burger."
“If that was the case, they already would have shut me down,” Momin said. The Dairy Queen that Momin has been managing since 2012 currently has an "A" grade, and was examined four times in 2018. On its most recent examination, November 28, it received a score of 97 percent.
Hey @DairyQueen, do y'all use human meat at your Greenwood, S.C. location?

Momin clarified to the news outlet that there was no illegal activity at the Dairy Queen and authorities were searching for individuals who did not work at the franchise.
Two local men face charges for allegedly running an unlicensed money transfer business and using the Dairy Queen as an exchange site, according to the Washington Post. According to the outlet, one of the men arrested kept $200,000 in a locked safe at the Dairy Queen for another man to access.
However, rumors circulated that the cause of investigation was due to the possible human burgers. The Greenwood County coroner gave an official statement to the Index-Journal to set the record straight.
“I promise you, I’ve never had anything of that nature asked of me. I’ve never suspected anything like that. I can honestly say that’s the first I’ve heard of it, and I don’t see any validity in that at all,” County Coroner Sonny Cox told the Index-Journal. “There’s little to no chance of anything like that ever being able to happen.”

“We will be looking into this matter and will be following the ongoing investigation closely as more information becomes available," Marlene Kadlec, a spokeswoman for Dairy Queen International, told the Index-Journal. “As this is an ongoing investigation, we refer all questions to authorities."
“There are no illegal activities happening inside of my store. I don’t know why they came to the store at all,” Momin said on Wednesday. “We’re back to business, we’re not being shut down."
