Liv Tyler's narrow entryway is a masterclass in small-space design – and it's as elegant as you'd expect

Liv Tyler may be synonymous with West Village living (the New York native has called the neighborhood home for two decades, after all) – but when it comes to her entryway – her London townhouse takes center stage.

The actress, best known for Armageddon and Stealing Beauty, shared a glimpse inside her West London property (reportedly worth approximately $13.4 million), located near Ladbroke Grove, close to the Bechkham's property. And, like most urban homes – it exhibits a narrow entryway that is compact in size but big in style.

'Sometimes you just gotta work a doorway,' Liv says as she poses in her doorway (below). Liv's entryway offers a masterclass in styling narrow spaces – from the light-hued painted walls to the monochromatic tiled flooring surrounding the staircase. In terms of key accessories, Liv has added a circular mirror that reflects the light from the (somewhat) unconventional chandelier (featuring model parrots, nonetheless).

However, 'brighter walls are reflective and create an airy, open vibe – soft whites and creamy colors such as Valspar's Moon Shot are the perfect paint palette to maximize your space, and going lighter on wall trims and moldings makes the walls appear further away.'

Plus, even with her entryway colors aside, Liv Tyler has accentuated space through her decor – not least her black framed circular mirror above her mirrored console table – that further reflects the light paint and the chandelier.

'Reflective surfaces and mirrors are a fantastic way to create the illusion of a bigger room – they reflect light and bounce back into the room to keep it bright, and reflecting the view tricks the eye into seeing a larger space than there really is,' Sarah says.
