Lizzo Saying “Welcome to the Grammys, B*tch!” on Live TV Already Won the Show
Lizzo brought the house down at the 2020 Grammys.
Naturally, Twitter’s obsessed.
Remember when you watched Lizzo’s 2019 VMAs performance and thought to yourself, Holy sh*t, how is Lizzo (or literally anyone) ever going to top this? Well, consider it topped. The star came into the 2020 Grammys having already made Recording Academy history, but because she’s Lizzo, she turned up the volume even more once she actually hit the stage.
The singer is nominated for every major award this evening and leads the pack with eight total, and in case anyone had doubts (LOL, they didn’t), she showed exactly why during her actual performance. First, she opened with a tribute to Kobe Bryant, which is totally fitting. Then she set the tone for the rest of the evening by closing her performance saying, “Welcome to the Grammys, bitch!”
Did we expect this? Well, yes. Did Lizzo deliver like she always has? Yes. Are we still loving it? Also yes! Lizzo’s fans understandably couldn’t get enough of it. Some highlights from the peanut gallery Twitter dot com. Basically, people are absolutely living for her performance.

Yes, people ARE calling for her to run for president, obviously.
Now in the future, Lizzo’s gotta top the VMAs performance and this one too. Tall order, amirite?
